Location : Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Edge of the World (locally called Jebel Fihrayn) is a stunning natural landmark located about 90–100 km northwest of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It’s part of the Tuwaiq Escarpment, a long line of high limestone cliffs stretching across central Saudi Arabia.
This dramatic site gets its nickname because when you stand at the top of the cliffs — which rise roughly 300 meters above the desert floor — you get a breathtaking, uninterrupted view of the vast desert stretching out to the horizon, creating the surreal feeling of being at the very edge of the world.
The landscape here is remarkable: you can see dry riverbeds weaving through the desert below, spot occasional camels, and even find fossils of ancient marine life, remnants from when this region was once covered by a prehistoric sea.
It’s a popular destination for hiking, picnics, sunset and sunrise views, and nature lovers seeking a dramatic escape from the city — but reaching it usually requires a 4×4 vehicle due to rough desert terrain.
